Calum spent the following 14 years working predominantly in training roles within a diverse range of industries spanning food distribution through to pharmaceuticals until 1994 when he joined the worlds largest drinks company “Diageo” who own brands such as Smirnoff Vodka, Bells Whisky, Gordons Gin and Guinness.
In 1999 Calum was promoted to “National Account Director” within Diageo New Business Ventures, which was division of the company responsible for the development of new potential global businesses. The area Calum was predominantly involved in was called Translucis and immediately became part of the project team initialising the business from conceptualisation through to a business with a significant presence within its market place within 2 years.
There were many responsibilities in addition to the project management aspects of the business case which included the commercial strategy, project management responsibilities for the design of the architecture, project management of the installation’s and the maintenance of Digital Media Networks i.e. the streaming of media via satellite from a central location to sites all across the UK creating bespoke TV channels for Bars and Clubs.
Since leaving Diageo Calum has returned to a Project Management training role, and in the last 18 months has been involved in designing and delivering these “Association for Project Management” accredited courses around the world.
