In 1998, John left the oil industry to manage the development of Aberdeen University's online Masters in Project Management as well as the development of the CDROM version of University of Stirling's MBA in Entrepreneurship. This then led him to London Metropolitan University’s Centre for Civil Aviation, where he was responsible for setting up an online learning environment to support the delivery of their CAA Approved Commercial Pilots license course. At the Centre, he also worked closely with the academic staff in the design and delivery of pre-course material for their ground breaking BSc and Foundation Degrees in Aviation to ensure that all applicants were up to speed before they commenced their studies.
With a proven track record in designing, developing and delivering technology and e-learning solutions, in 1993, John joined Worldwide Learning, part of News International Group, where he was responsible for managing their learning management system and the development of Worldwide Learning’s management development courses.
John joins the 20|20 team following two successful years working in London for ILX Group, a leading provider of Project Management, IT, and Business Finance Training, in the role of Product Services Manager for their Intellexis division. There his team delivered e-learning solutions to organisations around the world including the recent rollout of a financial e-learning programme to 2500 users for a global speciality chemicals organisation.
At 20|20, John combines his technology and management experience, in the development of PMALS - 20|20's project management competency tool and the creation of supporting e-learning modules.
An Islander, not a Highlander, John comes from the Isle Of Barra, off the west coast of Scotland, lives in Glasgow, but works wherever he can get an internet connection.
