Tom gained membership to the Institute of Training and Development in 1987 and worked as both a management trainer and change agent within the Scottish Health Service in Edinburgh, Ayr and Aberdeen. Tom then moved to Scottish Enterprise to the post of 'Investors in People' advisor where he guided ans supported over 50 companies through the IIP process and asissted with the development of the region's Education Business Partnership initiative.
After 10 years Tom moved into the world of consultancy, joining an intergrated HR and Recruitment company with the specific remit of setting up a training strand of the business. Tom was heavily involved in a range of unique training and development initiatives such as Business to Business Mentoring on behalf of the Dept. for Trade and Industry, International Graduate Development Programme and Head Teacher development on behalf of Scottish Enterprise.
This role enable Tom to deliver training and development interventions on a global basis and adapt training styles to a diverse range of geographical areas such as Azerbaijan, Middle East, Far East, USA, Asia-Pac and throughout Europe as well as to a range of mutli-national groups throughout the U.K.
In 2002, Tom moved to Manchester and commenced trading as 'Training and Development Solutions Limited' working throughout the UK and becoming an non-exectuive director of Education Business Solutions, part of Manchesters Education Business Partnership.
Tom joined 20|20 in January 2008 as Learning and Development Director and specialises in areas of Leadership and Management Development inlcuding Mentoring and Behavioural Profiling.
